ESPN analyst will have his eye on one thing when it comes to Justin Fields' NFL debut
Justin Fields will be making his NFL debut on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The former Ohio State star is expected to see a lot of playing time in his first preseason game in Chicago.
There will be a lot of eyeballs on the Bears’ new quarterback and first-round pick. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky will be one of the individuals with a close eye on Fields this weekend. He’s also interested to see one thing in particular.
“Watching for 1 thing today with Fields in Chicago Bears game — open in NFL is different than in college,” Orlovsky wrote on Twitter. “You can’t wait in the league — how well he ‘sees it/trusts it/rips it’ today goes a long way towards him being Week 1 starter — which I expect him to be.”

Bears head coach Matt Nagy has repeatedly said Andy Dalton will be the team’s Week 1 starter. However, if Fields’ success in practice translates to the field Saturday it’s going to be difficult to keep him on the sidelines.
Fields will make his Chicago debut at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Bears host the Miami Dolphins to start preseason action.
