ESPN announcer calling OSU game is struggling, and he's hearing about it on Twitter
Sometimes announcers need time to round into game form just like players.
ESPN’s team covering the Ohio State-Oregon State game Saturday has had a bit of a rough start. It is just the first week of the season, but a few errors were caught in the first half of the game between the Buckeyes and Beavers.
The first error came in discussing Ohio State QB Tate Martell and his path to the Buckeyes. It was mistakenly said Martell had originally committed to Washington under head coach Chris Peterson.
The announcer who said Tate Martell committed to Chris Petersen and now-Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith at Washington is incredibly wrong. He committed to Sark and decommitted when the coaching change happened.

It also appears Dave Pasch misidentified Robert Landers as Nick Bosa and misspoke on the first name of Buckeyes QB Dwayne Haskins:
Dave Pasch is horrible. Thought Robert Landers was Nick Bosa, doesn't know when Tate Martell committed to Washington, doesn't know the punter outside the pocket rule

Happen to catch that he called Haskins, Dwight before the tape of him as a kid?

It is the first week of the season, and things can only go up from here.
