Three quarterbacks were named finalists for the 2018 Heisman Trophy. Turn on ESPN’s College GameDay though, and you might believe there are only two.

Why? During the popular pre-game show, ESPN interviewed Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to talk about potentially winning college football’s most prestigious individual award. Missing from the interview was Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Sure, Murray and Tagovailoa are considered to be the two favorites for the award and the odds are favorable for both players, while Haskins is a distant third. But ignoring the Ohio State quarterback entirely is a disrespectful move for ESPN.

Haskins led the nation in passing yards (4,580) and passing touchdowns (47). He had a brilliant three-week stretch to close out the 2018 season, throwing for 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns in wins over Maryland, Michigan and Northwestern.

The Buckeyes finished the season 12-1 and won a second straight B1G title.

Still, ESPN doesn’t seem to think Haskins’ season is worthy of any air time. Which is too bad, because he’s had one of the best seasons ever for a B1G quarterback.

The Heisman winner will be announced Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET. And remember, there are three finalists. Not just two.
