ESPN’s power rankings have been shaken up a bit following Week 4 action. There’s a B1G team that appears to be a challenger to Alabama.

Following a hectic Saturday across the college football landscape, ESPN updated its top five power rankings heading into Week 5. Ohio State sits in pretty good position while Stanford makes its first appearance on the list.

Here’s how ESPN’s power rankings look with four weeks in the books:

  1. Alabama
  2. Ohio State
  3. Georgia
  4. Clemson
  5. Stanford

Alabama and Stanford are coming off wins over ranked opponents, as the Tide rolled Texas A&M and the Cardinal trumped Oregon. Ohio State defeated Tulane, Georgia knocked off Missouri and Clemson took down Georgia Tech.

Ohio State sits at the No. 2 spot heading into a huge weekend. On Saturday, the Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State.

If the Buckeyes win, they’ll certainly remain in ESPN’s power rankings next weekend. If the Nittany Lions come out on top, they just might land in the top five.

Next weekend is a big one at Beaver Stadium.
