ESPN's FPI predicts Ohio State's odds of running the table entering Week 6
ESPN’s FPI is taking stock of the remaining college football schedule, including Ohio State’s outlook to retake the B1G and advance to the College Football Playoff. While the Buckeyes are 4-0 and coming off a top-10 win vs. Notre Dame, Ohio State’s toughest remaining B1G games are still ahead.
The conference slate resumes in Week 6 with a visit from an undefeated Maryland program. Penn State and Michigan also loom down the road as the games that will define the B1G East race and, ultimately, Ohio State’s season.
Coming out of the bye week, the FPI is giving the Buckeyes a 54.4% chance to make the Playoff and a 42.4% chance to win the B1G. Those are the best odds in the country to reach the Playoff.
The FPI is also giving Ohio State a 22.7% chance of winning out and getting to 12-0. At the end of the day, the FPI is projecting a most likely record of 11.2-1.3 for the Buckeyes.
As for the betting odds, Ohio State is third in the national championship odds behind defending champion Georgia and rival Michigan. Fans hoping to get in on those odds can take advantage of our BetMGM Ohio promo code to get started!
