Ohio State is cruising into its big-time Week 9 matchup.

A Week 8 road trip to Northwestern proved to be no problem for the high-flying Buckeyes. Justin Fields and company dominated in a 52-3 rout of the Wildcats, marking yet another impressive outing this season.

Entering Week 9, the Buckeyes have scored at least 34 points in every game and 50+ in three games. That is good news, considering Ohio State is going up against Wisconsin’s defense in Week 9.

After the Badgers lost to Illinois in Week 8, the upcoming matchup lost a little glamor in the national spotlight. However, Wisconsin will likely show up hungry and ready to put the disappointing result behind them.

Ohio State is still favored in every game the rest of the way on ESPN’s FPI, but what is interesting is that the game against Wisconsin is no longer the toughest remaining game on the schedule. With the loss by the Badgers and a win by Penn State over Michigan, a Nov. 23 showdown with the Nittany Lions is the toughest game left on the schedule.

Here are the win probabilities the rest of the way, according to the FPI:

  • Oct. 26 vs Wisconsin – 83.9%
  • Nov. 9 vs Maryland – 98.6%
  • Nov. 16 @ Rutgers – 99.6%
  • Nov. 23 vs Penn State – 80.2%
  • Nov. 30 @ Michigan – 84.4%
