ESPN’s Heather Dinich says Ohio State ‘bolstered’ claim to No. 1 spot with win over Penn State

ESPN’s Heather Dinich remains sold on Ohio State as the best team in college football. According to Dinich, the win over Penn State only strengthens that claim by the Buckeyes.
Like most games in Happy Valley, this one was far from decided entering the fourth quarter. In fact, Penn State scored a touchdown to take the lead with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game.
However, the Buckeyes responded in a dominant fashion. Ohio State scored 4 touchdowns in the final 8:51 of the game to pull away for a 44-31 victory. The final score would have been even more lopsided if not for a late touchdown by the Nittany Lions.
After the game, Dinich said the win “bolstered Ohio State’s case for No. 1.” She also called it a “Huge win” for the Buckeyes to come out on top in a road contest.
That win bolstered Ohio State’s case for No. 1. Huge win on the road. PSU is a decent team, but they are too inconsistent. Some really terrific playmakers – another Dotson in the making. Too many mistakes, though.
