Even without Chase Young, Ohio State's defense is smothering Maryland
We all heard the news.
On Friday morning, it became known that Ohio State’s star defensive end Chase Young was being suspended indefinitely thanks to a loan that he took — and paid back — in 2018.

With the Young news out there, everybody knew that Ohio State would be without its stud pass-rusher for the game against Maryland. Would it matter, though?
The answer is, no.
The first half just came to a close and Ohio State leads 42-0. The offense has had six drives. It has scored six touchdowns.
And defensively, even without Young, the Buckeyes have absolutely dominated. Just look at the total yardage numbers through the first 30 minutes of play: 363-66.
Maryland, who is known to have play-makers on its offense, has totaled 66 yards in the first half. The Terrapins have also gone 0-for-6 on third down.
Absolutely domination is taking place in Columbus.
