Watts joins former Ohio state and 5-star quarterback Quinn Ewers to commit to the Longhorns. Ewers also decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the 2021 regular season.

Watts opened the season as a starter at corner and played 49 snaps against Minnesota, according to Eleven Warriors, but he played only 73 defensive snaps the rest of the regular season, the majority of which came in garbage time. He ended the year with 6 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions.

A Texas native, the former 4-star prospect had 5 tackles and appearances in all 7 games for the Buckeyes as a true freshman in 2020.

Ohio State ended the 2021 season with a 10-2 record and will play Utah in the Rose Bowl, Texas is finished with a 5-7 mark.
