Ewers is reportedly deciding between Texas and Texas Tech. He entered the transfer portal after spending just 1 season in Columbus. Prior to his commitment to Ohio State, the nation’s top overall prospect gave a verbal pledge to the Longhorns.

Per Richardson, Ewers was also considering TCU at one time, but the Horned Frogs have been eliminated from consideration.

Ewers was one of two Ohio State quarterbacks to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the conclusion of the 2021 regular season. Jack Millier III is also leaving the program.

Ohio State ended the 2021 season with a 10-2 record. The Buckeyes will play Utah in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
