Ezekiel Elliott had a solid day on the ground against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving. Elliott spoke about how the Dallas Cowboys had a great game plan for the game per Zach Dimmit of SI.com.
The Cowboys used the talents of both Elliott and Tony Pollard in the backfield once again in the 28-20 win. Elliott had 16 carries for 92 yards rushing with 1 touchdown. Pollard had 18 carries for 60 yards rushing.
Elliott noted how everything all came together against the Giants.
“I think it was a combination of everything,” Elliott said. “We had a great plan. The offensive line did a hell of a job executing the plan.”
The Cowboys are now one step closer to the NFC East leading Philadelphia Eagles (9-1) with the win.
“Right now, we’re a couple of games behind the Eagles,” Elliott said. “Today definitely helped with one step forward trying to challenge for the division title but we still have a lot of work to do.”
The Cowboys play the Indianapolis Colts next on Dec. 4 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
