Former Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott is pleading for running back Master Teague to go break the College Football Playoff Championship Game record for rushing touchdowns.

Teague already has two rushing touchdowns in tonight’s game and it’s not even halftime yet. He also has 62 yards rushing on 12 carries and is averaging 5.2 yards per carry (as of this writing).

The record for the most rushing touchdowns in the title game belongs to Elliott, who had four touchdowns in the 2015 game. He also had 36 carries for 246 yards in their win against Oregon that year.

Teague is getting the bulk of the carries now since Trey Sermon is out for the rest of the game. He had to be taken to the hospital after he was officially ruled out for the game.

Alabama is currently up 21-17 on Ohio State as the Buckeyes just got a field goal. The game is currently being televised by ESPN.

We’ll have to see if Teague can make a push for the record as the game goes on.
