Ezekiel Elliott is dealing with a knee injury, but is not planning on ruling himself out for Dallas Cowboys’ next game. ESPN’s Todd Archer shared how he’s handling the injury.

Elliott is simply focusing on trying to get as healthy as possible for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. He did not practice Wednesday because of the injury and is listed as questionable.

“We’ve still got a lot of time before Sunday,” he said. “Right now I’m focused on getting this knee as healthy as I can.”

So far this season Elliott has 434 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. He has played in every game for the Cowboys thus far in 2022.

Archer asked Elliott about what helps him play through injuries like this. Elliott stated that it’s all about mentality.

“I think it’s mentality,” he said. “I believe my team needs me out there. I believe that pain is temporary and I need to be out there with my guys. That’s the priority.”

The Cowboys are 5-2 and face the Bears Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
