Craig Young had a wild week against Maryland, and he landed Ohio State’s “Buck of the Week” honors after finding the end zone.
In the win over the Terrapins, Young grabbed the first 2 interceptions of his career. That included a dramatic 70-yard pick-six late in the blowout victory for the Buckeyes.
When discussing the play, Young admitted he thought the ball was initially bound to be incomplete. But he quickly found some green grass:
“At first, I did think it was going to hit the ground,” explained Young. “When it actually hit my hands, my first thing was just squeeze it. Then I just saw all green grass.”
Young finished the game with 2 tackles and 2 interceptions after posting 4 tackles in the win over Rutgers. He originally joined the Buckeyes in 2019 as a 3-star ATH out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
