Ohio State managed just seven points in the first half against Oregon on Saturday afternoon.

That’s the fewest points the Buckeyes have scored in the first half at home since their 2017 loss to Oklahoma, according to FOX. Ohio State had three points at half in that game, and OU ended up winning 31-16.

The Buckeyes struggled offensively against Oregon on Saturday. CJ Stroud’s numbers — 16-of-22 for 190 yards and 1 touchdown — make his half look better than it was. Much of that production came on Ohio State’s lone scoring drive and on several meaningless completions as time was winding down in the first half.

Stroud was bad enough that Ohio State fans were actively asking for him to be replaced with 5-star freshman Quinn Ewers. Ewers enrolled at Ohio State at the start of fall camp.

Miyan Williams has 11 carries for 58 yards at halftime.

Ohio State is 9-0 all-time against Oregon, including wins over the Ducks in a National Championship game and a Rose Bowl.
