Another Buckeye has signed his NFL rookie contract.

On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars announced that fifth-round selection Luke Farrell has signed his name on the dotted line. The former Ohio State tight end was one of 10 Buckeyes selected during the 2021 NFL Draft. He’ll rejoin Urban Meyer, whom he played for while in Columbus before the head coach retired after the 2018 season.

The 6-foot-6, 258-pound Farrell amassed 34 receptions, 380 yards, and four touchdowns during his time at Ohio State. Farrell arrived at Ohio State as a consensus 4-star tight end prospect, ranking No. 6 nationally at his position by ESPN.

Farrell, who appeared in 44 games as a Buckeye, was a four-time academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree. Farrell redshirted his freshman season in 2016.

Jacksonville selected Farrell with the first selection in the fifth round.
