Terry McLaurin and Jehu Chesson may both be sporting Washington Redskins gear at the moment, but neither has forgotten that they were at one time rivals.
McLaurin and Chesson were rivals at the college level, with McLaurin being an Ohio State star and Chesson a standout at Michigan. A little bit of that college rivalry seeped into the professional ranks on Tuesday while meeting with a reporter.
According to John Keim of ESPN, Washington Post reporter Kareem Copeland — also a UM grad — was joining forces with Chesson, telling McLaurin he should stop referring to Michigan as “That Team Up North” in a joking fashion. The former Buckeye wasn’t happening.
“All I know is I got five air of gold pants,” McLaurin reportedly said. He then walked away.
Yes, I enjoyed this exchange between Terry McLaurin and UM alum Jehu Chesson and reporter from that school up north @kareemcopeland "All I know is I got five pair of gold pants." Drops mic. #Buckeyes

Copeland later confirmed the encounter.
I was trying to posse up with Jehu, telling McLaurin he had to drop that "school up north" stuff. Then he dropped the mic on us. Was like a punch to the gut… #GoBlue https://t.co/Med16B7v03

Ohio State, of course, receives a pair of gold pants every time it beats Michigan. The Buckeyes have won seven-straight encounters with the Wolverines.
And because McLaurin has a perfect 5-0 record against UM, it sounds like he plans to refer to the school however he likes.
