Cam Spence is returning to the B1G.
The former Maryland defensive lineman announced on Twitter Tuesday that he has accepted a position on Ohio State’s staff. He will be a graduate assistant defensive line coach for the Buckeyes for the upcoming season.
Spence comes to Ohio State after spending last season at Miami (FL) in a recruiting position. He was a recruiting personnel intern on Manny Diaz’s staff with the Hurricanes last year.

Spence two seasons playing for the Terrapins, suiting up in 2017 and 2018. However, the defensive lineman’s career came to an end because of medical issues. It was then he decided to look into coaching roles.
After the medical retirement, Spence stuck around College Park for an opportunity to work as a student-assistant on Mike Locksley’s staff in 2019. In just a few short years, he’s worked with a few different programs in numerous roles.
Ohio State is coming off an 11-2 campaign in 2021.
