The Rams have eight captains, including: Johnny Hekker, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Whitworth, Robert Woods, Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald.
Remarkably, Fuller was a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He wasn’t guaranteed to have a roster spot at this point in his career, let alone be in contention to be a team captain.
As a rookie, Fuller recorded 60 total tackles and 3 interceptions in 12 games. He started all 12 of those contests and also deflected 5 passes.
Fuller was exceptional throughout his Ohio State career. He left Columbus with 5 interceptions, 5 tackles for loss, 10 pass deflections and 3 fumble recoveries in his career. He made 62 total tackles as a senior in 2019.
The Rams open their 2021 season at home against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 12 during Sunday Night Football.
