Former Ohio State defender reportedly traded by Las Vegas Raiders
The Dallas Cowboys have acquired defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins from the Oakland Raiders via trade, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports. The full trade sends Hankins and a seventh-round pick to Dallas for a sixth-round pick.
The move is expected to bolster the NFL’s 20th ranked run defense that excels in all other areas. He has shown that he can be a solid pass rusher in the NFL, his main value lies at stuffing the run.

The former Ohio State standout is in his 10th year as a pro and spent his first four years with the New York Giants after being selected in the second round has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and the Raiders since then.
Hankins is in the final year of his contract, so he is mainly a rental for the Cowboys, but his veteran presence could prove valuable.
