Former Ohio State QB named starter at LSU
A former Ohio State quarterback has earned the starting job with another program.
Monday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron announced that ex-Buckeye gunslinger Joe Burrow would be the starter for the Tigers. He earned the No. 1 spot over Myles Brennan.
News: Ed Orgeron is about to tell his #LSU team that #OhioState transfer Joe Burrow is the starting QB.
Burrow's experience & decision-making pushed ahead of Myles Brennan & his big arm, but Brennan will play & could redshirt if he doesn't play in more than 4 games.@SINow

Burrow appeared in 11 games for Ohio State in two seasons, throwing for 287 yards and two touchdowns. He decided to transfer out of the program prior to the start of the 2018 campaign.
He would’ve battled Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell for depth chart positioning in Columbus.
Burrow will be the second-straight B1G quarterback to start for LSU, as former Purdue gunslinger Danny Etling was the starter last year.
No. 25 LSU opens the season against No. 8 Miami on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
