Former Ohio State standout QB inks deal with CFL team
Former Ohio State star quarterback JT Barrett is heading to the Canadian Football League.
On Friday, the Edmonton Elks announced that they have signed a deal with Barrett. This will be the first stop in the CFL for the Buckeye standout and three-time winner of the B1G Quarterback of the Year honor.
Barrett was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft but has had opportunities with the New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers over the past four seasons. Most of his career in the professional ranks has been with practice squads.
