Former Ohio State star JK Dobbins re-ignites career under Jim Harbaugh
Former Ohio State star JK Dobbins, in his first season as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers, has had a terrific start to the 2024 season.
Dobbins took 17 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown in a 26-3 win at the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. In Week 1, he had 10 carries for 135 yards and a score against the Las Vegas Raiders as the Chargers won 22-10.
That’s back-to-back performances over 130 yards for Dobbins. He’s the first Charger to do so since Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson:

The Chargers, of course, are led by Jim Harbaugh in his 1st season after 9 seasons at the helm of Michigan. Ironically, it’s a former standout for the Wolverines’ archrival that has been key to Harbaugh and the Chargers’ 2-0 record.
Dobbins rushed for 805 yards and 9 touchdowns as a rookie in 2020 but missed the entire 2021 season after tearing his ACL, then played just 8 games in 2022. His 2023 season only lasted through part of Week 1 as he tore his Achilles tendon.
The Ravens opted not to resign him due to his injury history, leading him to sign with the Chargers for 1 season on a $1.6 million deal. Through 2 games of the 2024 season, the former Buckeye great is showing shades of his rookie season — and more.
