Former Ohio State TE Nick Vannett lands with new NFL team after being released by Saints
Nick Vannett, former Ohio State tight end, has landed with the New York Giants’ practice squad after spending the last two seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
The former third round pick, who was drafted by Seattle, had just two catches for 13 yards across his two years with the Saints.
Vannett has spent most of his career bouncing around and has not played significant minutes in any of his seasons. His best season came in 2018 with the Seahawks when he recorded 269 yards and three touchdowns.

Vannett has played just three games for the Saints this season.
Vannett played at Ohio State from 2012 to 2015 where he recorded 585 yards and 6 touchdowns before being drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was a part of the Buckeyes National Championship team in 2014.
