“I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my athletic career at Texas A&M Commerce,” LaRoe wrote. “I am looking forward to representing Texas A&M Commerce in its inaugural season in the FCS! Let’s get to work!”

LaRoe spent the past three seasons at Ohio State as a walk-on. He originally started his college career at Texas A&M before leaving the Lone Star State for Columbus.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound gunslinger out of Colleyville, Texas will still have two years of eligibility to use at Texas A&M Commerce. He was one of multiple quarterbacks to transfer out of Ohio State following the 2021 season, along with Jack Miller III and Quinn Ewers.

Ohio State ended the 2021 season with an 11-2 record. The Buckeyes still have returning starter CJ Stroud and backup Kyle McCord back from last year’s squad.
