Former Ohio State WR Michael Thomas says Cotton Bowl ‘won’t even be close’

The trash talk started early on game day. Although, none of the current Ohio State or USC players were involved the morning of the Cotton Bowl.

Former Buckeyes receiver and current Saints star Michael Thomas was the one who started with the smack talk on Friday morning, taking a few shots at the Trojans on Twitter. His message was well received by fans of the Scarlet and Gray.

Here’s the tweet Thomas sent out early Friday morning:

Thomas hasn’t been one to shy away from speaking his mind on Twitter. Clearly he wasn’t too worried about it on Friday, either.

Thomas played for Ohio State from 2012 through 2015, hauling in 113 receptions for 1,602 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career. He was taken in the second-round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

Ohio State and USC play in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET and the game will air on ESPN.
