Four former Ohio State QBs miss NFL rosters
Getting to the NFL is something every football player wants to do, but it’s extremely difficult to reach that level in the sport. Even if you do get to the professional level, maintaining your spot on a roster is a rigorous chore.
Unfortunately, four former Ohio State quarterbacks didn’t find their names on the 53-man NFL rosters ahead of the start of the 2019 season. It’s a tough road for four players who had outstanding careers in Columbus.

Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones, Terrelle Pryor and J.T. Barrett all just missed NFL rosters with the start of the regular season just around the corner.
Miller was working out with the Cleveland Browns this summer after spending two years with the Houston Texans. Jones was waived by the Los Angeles Chargers despite a strong showing during the preseason this year. Barrett was waived by the New Orleans Saints earlier this summer and later by the Seattle Seahawks. Pryor didn’t make it with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

All four players still have an opportunity to climb onto a practice squad during the season, and even potentially make a run at a roster spot if things work out. But it’s still a tough pill to swallow right now.
Hopefully the four Buckeyes find a home in the NFL.
