According to 247Sports’ recruiter rankings, four Ohio State assistant coaches are listed inside the top 10 as recruiters. Here’s who cracked the website’s top 10, and where they rank:

  • No. 1: Tony Alford, running backs coach
  • No. 3: Kerry Coombs, defensive coordinator
  • No. 6: Brian Hartline, wide receivers coach
  • No. 9: Larry Johnson, defensive line coach

There was only one other B1G assistant to crack the top 10. Michigan tight ends coach Sherrone Moore is listed at No. 2. Wisconsin special teams coordinator Chris Haering just missed the cut at No. 11.

Ohio State currently owns the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class of 2021. The Buckeyes have landed verbal pledges from four five-star prospects and 11 players ranked inside the top 100. In total, OSU has 19 commitments with only four being ranked below a four-star rating.
