Four-star 2020 DB reaffirms commitment to Ohio State following departure of Jeff Hafley
At least Ohio State will not have to worry about losing this recruit.
The Buckeyes are experiencing a bit of shakeup to their staff with the recent departure of co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. He has taken the head position at Boston College and will be leaving Ohio State after the College Football Playoff.
With coaching turnover, it is not unusual to see some commits reopen recruitment or look elsewhere. Fortunately, the Buckeyes had one big-time recruit for the 2020 class reaffirm his standing on Monday.
It came from Lathan Ransom, a four-star safety out of Tucson, Arizona. He is rated as the No. 5 S nationally on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and was also recruited by Hafley.
He took to Twitter with a brief note to indicate he’s not going anywhere. He will also be signing during the Early Signing Period:
With all that’s been going on I would like to say that I will be signing this Wednesday, and am still 100% COMMITTED TO THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES #GoBucks ⭕️🌰
