FOX Big Noon Kickoff aired from Bloomington, Indiana as the Hoosiers take on No. 4 Michigan. However, that didn’t stop them from talking about the B1G’s best offense.

The crew of Urban Meyer, Reggie Bush, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart took the time to debate whether or not the Buckeye offense is better than last year’s. It was a consensus yes, and for all different reasons at that.

Meyer believes one reason this is true is because of the passing game.

“They have the best passing attack in college football it’s not even close,” said Meyer. “Ryan Day’s strength is reading coverages.”

The Ohio State offense was loaded last year with weapons such as first round receivers Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave. Despite losing them along with Jaxon Smith-Njigba missing time this year, quarterback C.J. Stroud hasn’t skipped a beat.

“It’s C.J. Stroud, he’s the reason why this offense is better,” Bush said. “He’s playing better, the No.1 offense in college football. He has the best weapons in college football.”

In Smith-Njigba’s absence, Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr. have more than picked up the slack. The pair sits near the top of the B1G in receiving yards and touchdowns. When JSN comes back, the offense will get another boost in firepower.

On top of that, the offensive line has taken a leap as well.

“This is a physical team, they’ve only given up three sacks this season as a team,” Quinn said. “That’s the fewest in the B1G. They’re a more physical team with a better demeanor up front.”

To finish it off, the Buckeyes are dangerous on the ground.

“It’s the run game,” Leinart said. “Up front they’re better. They’re averaging more than 50 yards per game this year than they did a year ago.”

The Buckeye offense will look to make another victim out of Michigan State in a 4 p.m. EST kickoff.
