Freshman TE becomes latest Buckeye to shed black stripe

Another Ohio State player is shedding the black stripe. This time it’s freshman tight end Sam Hart. The Buckeyes announced the awesome news on Twitter.
“I just want to thank y’all for welcoming me into the brotherhood,” said Hart. “I want to thank defense, tight end unit, coaches give me better every day, pushing me.”

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Hart is a native of Colorado and arrived at Ohio State as the No. 3 prospect in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite. Hart also received offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, and Iowa amongst others.
No. 4 Ohio State will have a major clash with visiting No. 19 Purdue on Nov. 13. The Buckeyes defeated Nebraska 26-17 last week. Ohio State 8-1 overall and first place in the B1G East.
Purdue is 6-3 overall and tied for first place in the B1G West. Ohio State leads the all-time series 39-15-2 vs. Purdue. The Boilermakers won the last meeting 49-20 in 2018.
Purdue-Ohio State is slated for a 3:30 p.m. (EST) kickoff and will be televised on ABC.
