Four-star DB chooses Ohio State over Michigan, Notre Dame
There haven’t been too many Urban Meyer-Jim Harbaugh battles yet in 2016. Four-star defensive back Jordan Fuller was one of those battles.
A commitment from Fuller, who was both team’s top-remaining defensive back target, would help their case for a top-two 2016 class.
This time, Meyer came out on top.
Fuller announced on Monday night that he chose Ohio State over the likes of Michigan and Notre Dame. The 6-1, 195-pound prospect is the sixth-rated athlete and is the 130th-rated player overall, according to 247sports.
He announced his commitment with this video:
Fuller’s commitment gave the Buckeyes a needed boost after four-star cornerback Damar Hamlin turned down Ohio State and Penn State for Pitt on Monday night. The New Jersey native became the team’s top-rated 2016 DB and his commitment gave the Buckeyes their 16th four-star recruit.
He’s expected to start off as a cornerback and he could eventually make the switch to safety.
Ohio State currently boasts the top 2016 recruiting class in the B1G and the second-rated group in the country.
