Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught McCord’s TD passes as OSU is rolling after struggling against Tulsa last Saturday.

McCord got the start over an injured CJ Stroud as he hurt his shoulder in the Buckeyes win against Tulsa last Saturday. It was announced earlier in the week that Stroud would only be used in an emergency situation for this game as they didn’t want to risk further injury.

That said, McCord could make Ryan Day think about starting him long-term if he continues to play well in this contest. The Buckeyes have the rest of their B1G slate after this week so this will be a pretty big decision for Day.
