Harry Douglas channels Glenn Frey about Ryan Day's 2024 season: 'The heat is on'
Harry Douglas believes the pressure is ramping up on Ryan Day given Jim Harbaugh’s departure to the NFL. In fact, on “Get Up” on ESPN on Thursday, Douglas channeled Glenn Frey, and said, “The heat is on.”
“It is 100%,” Douglas said. “You have Jim Harbaugh removed from Michigan. You lost to Michigan the last 3 years … you have transfers coming to your school. You’re stacking up, you’ve got Bill O’Brien as your offensive coordinator to take a lot of pressure off of you. There is no excuse.”
Dan Orlovsky and Mike Greenberg than joked with Paul Finebaum about Day being the new punching bag for Finebaum since Harbaugh will be in the NFL.
“100%,” Finebaum said with a laugh. “If Ryan Day doesn’t beat Michigan, I’ll finish that statement later.”
Greenberg then joked, “I mean, we need someone in the Big Ten to kick around for Paul.”
Finebaum’s criticism of Harbaugh has been fodder for morning shows on ESPN for years. And recently, the ESPN commentator said he must’ve been “sleep deprived” to offer positive comments about Harbaugh after the national title.
