Garrett used his NCAA COVID-19 waiver to return to Ohio State in 2021 and play as a 5th-year super senior. A team captain for the Buckeyes in 2021, Haskell was named first-team all-Big Ten Conference and second-team All-American after leading OSU in sacks with 5.5, posting 7 tackles for loss (second on the team). Garrett was named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports in 2020 for his performance in the shortened season (20 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 sacks).
Over his 5-year career, Garrett played in 53 games for the Buckeyes, making 14 starts.
