Ryan Day and Chris Holtmann are setting the standard in the B1G in terms of recruiting.

On Monday, Ohio State added the commitment of 4-star center Felix Okpara to its basketball class. The 6-foot-11 center is one of the Top 50 prospects in the 2022 class, ranking No. 47 per 247Sports.

Okpara is the third Top 50 player in the cycle to verbally commit to the Buckeyes.

With his commitment, Ohio State’s basketball team is up to No. 1 in the B1G recruiting rankings for 2022, per 247Sports Composite. The Buckeyes rank No. 2 nationally.

On the football side, Day and his staff have done an excellent job securing pledges from top-end talent. The Buckeyes own the nation’s top-ranked class currently.

It’s a pretty remarkable feat for one program to have the top-ranked recruiting class in both sports. Not only are the Buckeyes at the top in the B1G, they’re near the top nationally.
