Heather Dinich discusses what USC’s loss means for Ohio State’s College Football Playoff hopes
Heather Dinich went on SportsCenter to talk about the impact the USC loss has on the College Football Playoff when it comes to Ohio State. Utah has opened a path for the Buckeyes to be included.
Utah is now the Pac-12 Champion after beating USC 47-24. Dinich seemed pretty confident that Ohio State can now slide into the No. 4 spot.
“I have no doubt that Ohio State will slide into that No. 4 spot over USC on Selection Sunday which will tumble out of the College Football Playoff conversation entirely. That’s why that 5th ranking was so important because No. 5 Ohio State has the edge over No. 6 Alabama. The committee will justify that top 4 spot because they still really value that season-opening win over Notre Dame and Ohio State has a top-10 win against Penn State.”

Ohio State fans will be hoping that Dinich is right. The Playoff committee will make the ultimate decision, however.
