Heather Dinich explains Ohio State's 'prime position' following latest CFP rankings

Ohio State would rather but playing in the B1G Championship Game this weekend, but ESPN’s Heather Dinich says the Buckeyes still have a solid shot at reaching the College Football Playoff.

On Wednesday morning, Dinich made an appearance on Get Up to discuss the latest CFP rankings. According to Dinich, Ohio State remains in a “prime position” to sneak into the top 4.

Part of the reasoning is that the Buckeyes remained at No. 5 and ahead of Alabama Tuesday evening. Dinich also explains the only chaos needed for Ohio State to get back in is a loss by USC:

“Ohio State is in a prime position to sneak into this thing if they get some chaos above them,” said Dinich. “And really it doesn’t have to be all that chaotic. If we’re being honest, all that needs to happen is for USC to lose. If USC loses twice to Utah in the same season, they’ve got two losses, and the committee’s next move is to shuffle Ohio State right back in there.”
