Heather Dinich knows there are two teams this season that have stood out as the clear contenders to win the national championship and she believes between the two Ohio State has the best chance to exploit Georgia’s potential issues. Ohio State has had elite offenses under coach Ryan Day and has showcased several skill players that have truly been special in their time as a Buckeye.

So far this season, Ohio State ranks 2nd in the nation by Football Outsider’s FEI rankings on offense which is one of the best measurements of overall efficiency and performance. The Buckeyes also have arguably two of the best players in college football in their position groups with CJ Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr.

“I sat here in August, I told you Ohio State was going to win it all. I’m going to sit here and continue to say the Buckeyes, and I say that because I think they’re the best team of the other contenders that can give Georgia fits,” Dinich explained. “The reason is CJ Stroud at QB, their turnover margin and Georgia has looked vulnerable at times. They had an ugly win against Missouri and Kentucky wasn’t exactly a blowout.”

Harrison already has over 1,000 yards on the season and has Heisman front-running quarterback CJ Stroud throwing it to him. The Buckeyes have also begun to try and balance things out with a stronger running game.

If Ohio State makes it to the national championship, Dinich thinks that all of those factors will come into play and give the Buckeyes a clear advantage against the Georgia Bulldogs.
