Heather Dinich keeps Ohio State at No. 1 after Week 8 'in spite of crap schedule'
Heather Dinich is convinced that Ohio State is worthy to be ranked at No. 1 following Week 8’s victory over Iowa, 54-10.
Currently, the Buckeyes are ranked No.2 on the AP Poll after Week 8. But, Dinich has a strong case to put them at No.1.
The ESPN analyst mentioned that the Buckeyes may not have had the toughest competition this season, but still have been the most consistently dominant.
“I have Ohio State No. 1 in spite of crap schedule b/c they are 1 of the most consistently dominant teams, scoring at least 49 points vs. Big Ten competition,” Dinich explained on Twitter. “Only team in FBS that has scored on 100% of its red zone drives. And CJ Stroud makes NFL throws scouts should drool over.”
She did not shy away from adding in the talent that is quarterback CJ Stroud and how the Buckeyes have capitalized while in the red zone. The Buckeyes have been able to score 100% of its red-zone drives this season in the FBS.

Dinich also added in the issue of ranked wins and non-ranked wins for the College Football Playoff. She noted that the only thing for teams to worry about, really, is how many teams beat a ranked top 25 opponent. If a team has wins over an opponent that is .500 or better, that’s considered a good win.
As for Dinich’s Week 8 ranking behind Ohio State, she has Georgia, Tennessee, and then Oregon. It will certainly be interesting to see how these teams’ next slate of games evolve heading into Week 9.
My top four this week: 1. Ohio State 2. Georgia 3. Tennessee 4 … Quack.

Every yr there is a debate about wins against ranked teams. Does it count if the opponent is no longer ranked?? The COMMITTEE wants to know how many opponents a team beat in THEIR CFP TOP 25 … it matters on Selection Day. It's not just T25, though, opponents over .500 good win
