Here's what Ryan Day had to say after Ohio State's close call vs. Nebraska
It was far from a pretty performance, but Ohio State kept its winnings streak alive with a 26-17 win over Nebraska on the road. The win pushes the streak for the Buckeyes to 7 games, despite their lowest point total this season.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud made some mistakes with 2 interceptions while the Buckeyes committed 8 penalties. Ohio State also managed just 90 yards rushing while Nebraska’s defense produced an impressive outing.

The big star for Ohio State was Jaxon Smith-Njigba who stepped up in the absence of star receiver Garrett Wilson. Smith-Njigba broke Ohio State’s single-game record with 15 receptions against the Huskers. He finished with 240 yards – the second-highest single-game mark in Buckeye history – and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for the Huskers, 2 missed field goals and a late interception proved to be the difference. Though not at their best, the Buckeyes will move on to a home game vs. Purdue in Week 11 at 8-1 (6-0 in B1G play).
Here’s what head coach Ryan Day had to say after the victory:
