Here’s what Ryan Day said following Ohio State’s hard-fought win over Indiana

That was one gutsy, hard-fought performance on Saturday.
After a big lead up to the game and lots of discussions during the week, Indiana proved to be up to the task of hanging around with Ohio State. After twice building huge leads, the Buckeyes saw the Hoosiers battle back time and time again.
It was by far the best defensive effort a team has thrown at the Buckeyes, forcing Justin Fields into a number of uncharacteristic mistakes. On the other side of the ball, Indiana’s offense was able to take advantage of Ohio State’s secondary with a number of big shots down the field.
In the end, a win is a win, but it was a game that finally illustrated some of the issues that are plaguing the Buckeyes. Moving forward, Ryan Day and his staff now have a clear picture of what to work on as Ohio State heads into the final stretch of its schedule.
Here is everything Day had to say after the win:

On the decision to go on fourth down near the endzone, Day said he always wants to be aggressive. Day said he “liked the call” but the execution could have been better.

Ryan Day, on the fourth-down decision late in the game, says Indiana was "moving the ball pretty good" and was worried "a field goal might not do it."
"Either way, we're going to be aggressive in those situations." Says they can't second-guess themselves when it doesn't work.

Ryan Day: “If we don't give up those big plays, we probably run away with this game, but we did.” Said giving up 491 passing yards is “way too much.”
Said the Buckeyes need to reevaluate their personnel, scheme and coaching to determine what needs to be fixed with pass defense.
