Auerback had some bold comments on the subject of where Ohio State should be placed among the top teams.

“I think (Ohio State) is up there with Georgia,” Auerbach said. “I don’t even know if Alabama is up there because the way they played against Texas… I don’t know if this Alabama team is the Alabama team we normally pencil in.”

Auerbach believes Ohio State is the team to compete with Georgia — not Alabama:

“I think you could absolutely put Ohio State up there,” Auerbach said. “Georgia’s offense: fun, explosive. Ohio State’s offense: fun, explosive and we’re watching these defenses come up to speed in real time.”

All three teams are off to hot starts on the season, though Alabama struggled against Texas, while Georgia and Ohio State have plowed through their ranked opponents.
