'It's going to be the best defense we've played': Alabama QB Mac Jones discusses matchup vs. Ohio State

Mac Jones has nothing but praise for an Ohio State defense that he will face in just a few short days.

Jones, the star quarterback of Alabama, spoke on Wednesday about Ohio State’s defense. On Monday, Jones and No. 1 Alabama will take on No. 3 Ohio State in the College Football Playoff Championship.

Alabama, who steamrolled No. 4 Notre Dame last week, are facing an Ohio State defense that exceeded modest expectations in their upset win of Clemson in the semifinal.

In their 49-28 win over Clemson, the Ohio State defense forced two turnovers and held the Tigers to their lowest point output of the season. Jones said, after seeing some glimpses of the Buckeyes, it will be the greatest challenge the Crimson Tide have faced this season.

Asked about Ohio State's secondary, Mac Jones notes that he played 7-on-7 with Shaun Wade (both are from Jacksonville) and said Sevyn Banks “has a cool name.”
