Who needs Friday night football when you can have Thursday night football?

That’s what Ohio State and Indiana will have when they open the 2017 season.

The schools announced that they’ll face off on Thursday, Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2.

Kickoff time and network for the game have yet to be determined.

That’ll be Ohio State’s first Thursday night opener since 2010, but it’ll mark the second-straight year of such an occasion for Indiana.

Ohio State also opened the 2015 season on a non-Saturday when it took on Virginia Tech on a Monday night.
