Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins was carted off the field after going down awkwardly in the Ravens preseason finale.

After catching a screen pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson, Dobbins ran a few yards before being tackled and apparently suffering a knee injury.

It appears to be an injury to Dobbins’ left leg:

After Dobbins was carted off the field, he went into the blue medical tent on the sideline for evaluation before being taken to the locker room. In case there was any doubt, his day is finished.

If the Ravens were to lose Dobbins for a substantial amount of time, it would be a ginormous loss as he’s one of their best players on offense. During his rookie year in 2020, he had 134 carries for 805 yards and 9 touchdowns. He also averaged 6 yards per carry as the Ravens had one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL.

Gus Edwards would likely be next in line to start if Dobbins were to miss any time.

Baltimore will open their regular season on Sept. 13 (Monday Night Football) against the Las Vegas Raiders at 8:15 p.m. ET.
