J.K. Dobbins knows how to win over his teammates.

In Saturday’s game against Michigan State, the freshman running back surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the season, becoming just the second B1G ball-carrier to hit the milestone thus far. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment for a rookie, but Dobbins didn’t want to take all the credit. Instead, he wanted to make sure everyone got proper recognition.

Sunday morning, Dobbins took to Twitter, thanking his offensive line for helping him get to 1,000 yards on the season. He also shared several pictures of himself celebrating with the guys up front.

Dobbins rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries in Ohio State’s 48-3 thrashing of Michigan State in Week 11. It was the third time this season the freshman had eclipsed the 100-yard mark in an outing.

After 10 games, the freshman has racked up 1,038 yards, ranking second in the B1G behind only Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor. He’s also caught 17 passes for 109 yards and has accounted for six total touchdowns.

Ohio State’s offensive line has been opening holes for Dobbins all season long. It was only fair that he shell out proper respect for the guys who do all of the dirty work up front.
