Jeremiah Smith is one of the best freshman players in the entire country. Now, Ohio State’s superstar wide receiver has a major NIL deal that he announced on social media recently.

In a video on social media, Smith revealed he has signed an NIL deal with Red Bull, one of the most widely recognized energy drinks on the market. According to Front Office Sports, Smith’s deal is the first-ever for Red Bull and a college football player, adding an extra touch of significance for the true freshman.

Coming out of high school, Smith was the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect as a major 5-star recruit out of Florida. With a mature frame entering college, Smith has immediately stepped into a go-to role for the Buckeyes while drawing elite comparisons to NFL stars Julio Jones and AJ Green.

Through 2 games, Smith is Ohio State’s leader in every major receiving category with 11 catches for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns. Even with the early bye week, Smith is tied for 3rd in the Big Ten with 3 receiving touchdowns. He is 1 of just 4 players with more than 2 receiving touchdowns, but Smith is the only member of that group without a 3rd game under his belt.

With an elite start to his career and playing for a major contender, Smith is bound to get more major deals along the way.
