Jeremiah Smith and the Ohio State Buckeyes took care of business on Saturday night as they knocked off Tennessee, 42-17, in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

This matchup was supposed to be the game of the weekend, but like the other CFP games, it was a blowout.

Smith once again showed why he is viewed as a potential superstar as he finished with 6 catches, 103 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of the big matchups in this game was Smith going up against Tennessee star cornerback Jermod McCoy.

After the big win, Smith went to social media to comment on a post from before the game.

The win against Tennessee gave Ohio State country at least 24 hours to forget the crushing loss to the regular season when they lost for the 4th consecutive time to rival Michigan.

Up next for Smith and the Buckeyes is a game against Oregon in a rematch of 1 of the most exciting games of the regular season that the Ducks won 32-31.

Smith had a big game in that matchup, as he finished with 9 catches for 100 yards and 1 touchdown. It figures to be another challenging matchup for Smith, as the Ducks are ranked 8th in the country as they allow only 175.7 passing yards.
