JK Dobbins has suffered a torn Achilles, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said after a 25-9 Week 1 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. The 4th-year running back out of Ohio State is done for the year.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero were the first to report the news after Dobbins was forced to leave the game. He was unable to put weight on his leg as he was taken to the locker room.

It’s just the latest injury for Dobbins, who ran for 805 yards and 9 touchdowns as a rookie in 2020. But in 2021, he tore his ACL in preseason and was declared out for the year.

During Week 6 of the 2022 season, he suffered another knee injury, playing just 7 games. He totaled 427 yards and 2 touchdowns on 75 carries. Now comes the news of a torn Achilles that will sideline him for the rest of the 2023 season.

Dobbins’ injury luck has been flat-out unfortunate. With his rookie contract up after this season, his outlook after 3 knee injuries in as many years is a massive question mark.
